MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad to provide the highest level of emergency medical care and technical rescue services to those that require our assistance. We do it with dedication, excellence and compassion.
The Sterling Park Rescue Squad, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation providing basic and advanced pre-hospital life support; heavy and techncial rescue; and water rescue services to Loudoun County, Virginia. The Squad celebrated 50 years of community service in 2014 and has grown to over 225 volunteers operating from three fire and rescue stations. Squad volunteers responded to 6,450 calls for assistance in 2014, donating over 120,000 hours to Loudoun County. Sterling Rescue supports the Virginia Department of Emergency Management as Task Force - 8 and has deployed to declared disasters in the Commonwealth. Members are trained as paramedics and emergency medical technicians as well as in special mission areas, such as vertical rescue, vehicle extrication, structural collapse and rescue, and swift water and ice rescue.
